Our hearts are heavy at Infinity Dance Theater as we announce the passing of Founder and Artistic Director Kitty Lunn. She once said, “I chose the name Infinity because it’s the symbol of never-ending motion.” Kitty put that principle into practice through her extraordinary career. Her legacy will endure through the countless students she trained and the many professional artists with whom she collaborated to produce works for dancers with and without disabilities. We are exploring meaningful ways to honor Kitty and her legacy, and we will share more details as they become available. (Artwork by Carol Davis / Photo by James Estrin)

Many thanks to everyone who attended Infinity's performances at Theater for the New City last month - and to our entire artistic/production team. Each show was a packed house, and we enjoyed the chance to have a talk-back with the audience each night. We hope you'll take a look at this review (below) by The Dance Enthusiast, and stay tuned for details on Infinity's video streaming of this vibrant new work! 📷: Christian Whan
IMPRESSIONS: Kitty Lunn and Infinity Dance Theater present "Frida Kahlo and the Dance with Death"
"At first glance, one might think Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and Scottish-American dancer Kitty Lunn have little in common. However, as Lunn asserts in her world premiere Frida Kahlo and the Dance with Death, the two women are more alike than meets the eye." — Cecly Placenti, New York

Please enjoy this video of an October studio showing of Kitty Lunn's "Etude," presented at NDEO's 2022 National Conference in Atlanta - performed by Infinity's Kitty Lunn and Luísa Righeto, with original music composed and performed by William Catanzaro. "Etude" demonstrated to dance educators how the ballet and modern dance transposition techniques introduced during Infinity's workshop can be synthesized artistically through a piece of choreography.

In October, the National Dance Education Organization presented a lecture-demonstration by Infinity at NDEO's 2022 National Conference in Atlanta. The workshop featured Kitty Lunn, Artistic Director; Luísa Righeto, Artistic Associate and Dancer; and William Catanzaro, Music Director and Composer.
