This is how we ended Week 4! Waterworks and Color Wars with our sister site UES!

We’re excited to welcome local children’s book author Wendy Tsu to Oasis Day Camp for Storytime with our early readers.
Wendy will be reading her new children’s book, Bo the Baked Potato - a whimsical and cheerful story about embracing your own creativity through the universally beloved...potato! In just the past couple months since its release, it has become the #1 children’s book focused on friendship for Ingram, one of the largest partners to libraries, schools, and bookstores.

This book is inspired by drawings she drew when she was in kindergarten. She’s led Storytime across 30 public elementary schools sharing Bo with now over 4,000+ early readers, to inspire kids that their ideas, even as silly as little potatoes, can become real.
She’ll donate a few copies to the camp, but if you’d like one for your home, grab a copy — order soon so it arrives in time for her to sign during her Storytime visit.

About Wendy: A Bay Area native now in NYC, Wendy holds an MBA and Masters in Education from Stanford. She started her career launching new elementary and middle schools across California, and for the past decade, she has been a venture capitalist here in NY. Writing children’s books has been her way to blend imagination and entrepreneurship.
