We are using the month of May to highlight the prominent Asian American and Pacific Islander artists that continue to be a constant inspiration to our dance community in and out of the four walls of Steps on Broadway ⭐️ Kicking off our AAPI celebration, we have Gregory Lau. Gregory Lau was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. He began his training at Mid-Pacific Institute School of the Arts, is a graduate of LaGuardia Arts High School and attended The Juilliard School, under the direction of Lawrence Rhodes. After attending The Juilliard School, Gregory joined Nederlands Dans Theater 2 from 2013-2016 and danced for Nederlands Dans Theater 1 from 2016-2019. ‘s movement stems from a deeply rooted and organic place. The connection of the mind, body, and soul are present when witnessing his choreography as a viewer and experiencing it physically as a performer. To have such an esteemed and respected artist such as Gregory in our studios is an immense honor. To all of the contemporary movers out there, this one is for YOU.
