Hip Hop choreography will be taught using the F.A.C.E. technique and Robin’s ‘Inside Work’ principles. Come learn from the best!

Over six weeks, you’ll learn the basic fundamentals of swing dance from an expert instructor in a fun and supportive environment. All levels are welcome—no experience is necessary, just a passion for learning ⭐️

As we process the heartbreaking loss of Guest Faculty member, Sean Viator’s, we want to provide faculty, students, and the dance community a space to feel, remember, and share. Join Laura Kaufman and Matthew Lynady for a special Spotlight class, celebrating Sean’s life. Proceeds from this class will benefit a scholarship to the University of Arizona being made in his name. Dancers from all over the world are invited to join in-person or virtually to share memories, connect with friends, and dance from their hearts, just as Sean would have wanted ❤️

Join Steps faculty member Camden Loesner, and Artistic Director of the The Jack Cole Project for an unforgettable evening of jazz in NYC May 13th!

Almost a century ago, dance innovator Jack Cole revolutionized New York and Chicago’s nightclub scenes with a new, provocative style of entertainment. Cole’s fusion of world dance styles and jazz music laid the foundation for much of the popular jazz and theater dance we know today, including the works of legendary figures Bob Fosse and Jerome Robbins.

Now, a hundred years later, Cole’s spirit is being resurrected, led by Camden Loeser (Chicago - Tour, Pippin - Japan/Tour, Finding Neverland - Tour), who is continuing the Jack Cole Technique he began with the late and legendary Broadway Choreographer Chet Walker (Fosse, Pippin). The Jack Cole Dancers are bringing back the magic of Cole’s original Club Act to Manhattan’s nightlife.

Prepare to be transported to Cole’s world in this captivating and enlightening evening of jazz music and dance!

We will miss having Shannon lead the room in our studios twice a week as she takes a hiatus to work on professional projects. We are already counting the days until she returns.
