Dear Staff, players, coaches, supporters, partners and alumni.

It is with great disappointment and sadness that the Long Island Lions have ceased operations as an organization. For many years we have enjoyed meeting new supporters and partners and working with amazing people.

To our supporters, the players you have come to know and enjoy watching are all still together and will be playing the 2015 season as a unit for another organization.

Our staff will be the same and the contacts within the staff will also stay the same.

The Lions name may be no more, but the same team you enjoyed and supported are still here.

We hope to see you in 2015 supporting us and our new teammates.

Still One Family, One Brotherhood.

The LI Lions Family would like to take this time to send our deepest condolences to the Sandford family and the Nassau Golden Eagles organization.

Joe Sandford passed away today a hero,saving lives as a fire fighter. As an owner and a man, Joe was a great guy who helped others whenever he could. Rest In Peace brother.

A fellow brother of the Five Star Football League needs our help!

His family lost their home a few days ago in a house fire.

We are all coming together to help them through the holidays and show our unity as one large football community.

Please, any amount will greatly help. Calvin Smith Jr. we are in this together!

Help the Smith Family Please help Melanie Smith and her sons try and rebuild their life from this horrific tragedy. Help to make their holiday season better.

As Proud Americans, we are happy and willing to do our parts to assure our veterans and wounded warriors get the help, love and support they need to live their lives as comfortable as possible.
