Saturday Kendo Practice, Sep 26th, 2026

Spring blossoms, summer rain, autumn leaves, and winter snow—in the end, they are only the changing scenery of our lives.
Through all the joys and sorrows, the laughter and tears, we crossed shinai together, leaned on one another’s shoulders, sang and laughed, offered comfort, and walked side by side—not only as friends, but as family.
Having shared 46 of the NYC Kendo Club’s 50-year history, Geoffrey Werner Sensei is truly a living witness to the club’s remarkable journey.
Though time may pass and distance may separate us, the days we shared will remain with us forever.
Now, as Geoffrey Werner Sensei retires and begins a new chapter of his life far away in Thailand, we sincerely wish him many years of happiness, peace, and good health.
Thank you, Sensei, for all the years we have shared, for your friendship, and for all the wonderful memories.
Wherever life may take us, the bond forged through Kendo will always remain.
With our deepest gratitude and our very best wishes for the journey ahead.
