Today we honor our late founder Rod Rodgers on his birthday. His legacy lives on through the RRDC community, repertoire, and dancers who all help keep his work alive with the continued vision of Artistic Director, Kim Grier-Martinez.

Thank you Rod for creating a space for everyone in the RRDC community to be themselves and shine.

RRDC will be performing at for the Lower East Side Festival of The Arts this Friday! We’ll be premiering our new work, “6 Chapters” choreography by Artistic Director, Kim Grier-Martinez

Our scheduled performance time is at 7:06pm but we suggest arriving 30min before as things are subject to change. Last but not least this event is free, so be sure to come through and bring your crew!

Rod Rodgers Dance Company went to Opine Dance Film Festival - where our short dance film "Between Us" was shown.

We collaborated with to bring to life Artistic Director dance film vision to address the happenings of the pandemic and social upheaval, in a time when it was both easy and somehow harder and harder for people to connect. The film was screened at in Pennsylvania with RRDC general manager Rachel Lubell, film director , and company member there to represent in the audience and Q&A.

This is just the beginning of our journey with this film and we look forward to bringing it to a showing near you.

Your presence at our 55th Anniversary Celebration last Saturday was such a blessing!

Much thanks to Michal (Michal Gamily)for helping us celebrate our big 55, and Ayo (Ayo Harrington)for being our great moderator! We also thank Ellen Robbins, E. Laura Hausmann (E Laura Hausmann)and Noel Hall for sharing their personal stories. We celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of dancers through generations have made and helped continue the legacy of RRDC. A big thanks to Alex for your extended documentation on RRDC since the 80’s! We thank Carlos for the opening drumming! Tiona, we appreciate your presence. You made us smile 😊
