Dr. Annemarie has been with us at for four years. Today marks her last official day before she will be full time at her own practice. Having you as part of the team doc, has been wonderful. You stepped in and helped continue to build the business, build community, and be there for all of us. You got me through having a baby and even got her to flip! Your eagerness to learn and forward momentum is inspiring. Wishing you much success and happiness and sending you off with lots of gratitude and love. 💕

Happy Pride! From a q***r owned business and family, this year felt particularly important to be in community. Paying our gratitude to the 1969 Stonewall pioneers, specifically trans women of color. Today and everyday, we strive to be a space that not only welcomes other q***r folks, but also celebrates. We love you! 💕🌈

Happy Pride from our family to yours.
As we celebrate, let’s remember that Pride began as, and remains, a protest. We honor and express our gratitude to those who came before us, especially Black and Brown q***r folks who led the resistance and continue to do so.
June is a time to reaffirm our commitment to inclusivity. This means checking in with our teachers and practitioners about fostering a welcoming space, respecting people’s pronouns, using non-binary language, and educating ourselves on working with all types of bodies. It’s a time to lead by example, refraining from commenting on others bodies, while creating a nonjudgmental environment for those who wish to share their experiences.
Over the past year, being pregnant and giving birth, I noticed how these principles were often overlooked. Everyone wanted to talk about my body. It’s important to remember that pregnant and postpartum people have autonomy over their bodies, and we should always ask for consent before commenting or touching.
Another aspect of my journey has been finding my place as part of a q***r family. Being a parent is timeless and beautiful, and it is essential to recognize that ALL genders can be birthing parents. I’ve definitely encountered a binary in parenting circles and want to emphasize the importance of inclusive language in relation to families. This reminder is also a celebration of mothers( we have two in our house!), fathers, grandparents, chosen family, and all the beautiful in between and beyond. Acknowledging that family is fluid and there is room for all versions of love.
After a long fertility journey, a traumatic birth, and some PPD, having a safe space full of knowledge and support is everything. My family, friends, and the studio have shown me community in a way that gives me hope for Moons future in this wild world. Thank you, and happy Pride.
