From A Levels to A-Lister, British champion was amongst the trails of celebrities at the 2021 Met Gala in New York on Monday.

Fresh from her historic victory against Canada’s Leylah Fernandez on 11 September, Raducanu slipped into a black and white ensemble for fashion’s biggest night of the year.

The 18-year-old athlete arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in an entirely monochrome look, comprised of a flowing midi skirt with a matching robe, and a crop top. 
She completed the look with a pearl-encrusted belt around her waist, large diamond earrings and patent black boots.

Her makeup was kept natural, bar an eye-catching winged liner, and her dark hair was styled in loose waves.

Chanel seems to have become a fashion favourite of the young champion, who also wore a black sequined mini dress from the designer to celebrate her victory against Fernandez on Sunday evening.

The Met Gala (themetgalaofficial) is the biggest night of the year in the fashion world.Due to the pandemic, last year’s event was cancelled, meaning the 2021 soirée will be the first to take place since 2019. 👠✨ So, what is the Met Gala? 🤔

The Met Gala is a nickname for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala. It’s essentially an opening-night party and fundraiser for an annual fashion exhibit curated by the Costume Institute, the museum’s fashion department, and the only curatorial department at the Met that has to fund itself.

Each year there’s a “theme” for the clothes featured in the museum exhibit, which is also the dress code for the party. In 2019, the dress code was “camp,” inspired by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay, “Notes on Camp.

Why is the Met Gala such a big deal? ✨✨✨

From a fashion perspective, it is a chance for designers to work closely with celebrities on outfits, and people are generally encouraged to dress in capital-F Fashion rather than play it safe. This has resulted in some outrageous dresses, the most famous of which is probably Rihanna’s (badgalriri) “omelet dress” at the gala in 2015: exquisite, unexpected, and true to herself and the theme. 2019’s “camp” theme brought out dramatic outfits and entrances: In over-the-top fashion, had not one, not two, but three outfit changes on the red carpet, while ’s accessory of choice was six shirtless men to carry him.

With both the art and music industry quickly disappearing from our schools, it’s important to celebrate events like the Met Gala to keep creative talents inspired and supported. We must continue to let art and creativity bloom!

The model, 27, donned an eye-catching pink dress with a cute cartoon pattern of animals, beach balls and flowers from the designer's Spring 2022 Collection.

Winnie showed off her long slender legs as she strutted down the catwalk.

The star's dress featured some short puff sleeves which left the naked skin of her lower arms exposed to the air, and added a pair of matching pink heels to add a few inches to her stature.

proudly showcased his Spring Summer 2022 ready-to-wear collection during New York Fashion Week on Tuesday night. And stars, including and , turned out in droves to snag a front row seat at the 35-year-old designer's runway show at Gotham Hall. 👠✨

Holmes, 42, took the plunge in a fitted suit jacket and a pair of flared trousers, each boasting a silver asymmetrical grid pattern.

The Dawson's Creek alum went sans top beneath her jacket and rocked a head of wavy brunette hair.

As for makeup, Katie amplified her natural beauty with a soft metallic shadow on the eyelids and a swipe of n**e lip gloss on her enviable pout. 💋💄

Poking out from under her flared pants were a pair of black patent leather stiletto heels. After striking several poses with Siriano backstage, Holmes eventually made her way out onto the main floor and took her seat next to Silverstone and Broadway star . 👠
