I am crushed … I am grieving .. My friend, partner in crime, and collaborator Donna Cyrus passed away Wednesday .. Donna was an icon, and a force in the fitness industry. She had a great eye for talent and programming .. As VP for Crunch, she found Beto and Zumba, urban rebounding, karaoke spin and yes even ruff yoga…she promoted talent and never asked for anything in return.. she was a leader and innovator in the industry .. she wielded power but did it with generosity.. she was tough as nails with a heart of gold. . she was a pioneer in the fitness video market and launched many faces and names…I remember our first meeting at Crunch and we became fast friends immediately .. I loved my Donna.. we were friends for close to 40 years .. Donna lived a big and full life and touched so many others, she was warm, and smart, and funny and wise and I could always rely on her and respected her opinion .. she was loyal and trustworthy and I am going to miss her deeply and every day .. .. there will be a hole now ..the world will be a little dimmer without her shimmering presence ..
