This season, Omega Dance Company marks 50 years of revealing the sacred through movement! We were thrilled to spend time this fall with our founder and sacred dance pioneer, Carla De Sola, as well as with dancers and directors past and present. We are grateful for the chance to minister through dance — especially through our ongoing collaborations with the The Church of the Village - a radically inclusive, anti-racist community, Church of St. Ignatius Loyola, NYC, The Riverside Church, and The Community Church of New York Unitarian Universalist. The power of dance is needed even more when times are turbulent. Please consider donating this so Omega can continue its mission of revealing the sacred through movement into the NEXT half century! Please visit the link in our bio to add your gift.

We are grateful for YOU! Thank you for your support. 💜

with The Community Church of New York Unitarian Universalist is coming this Sunday June 9 at 2pm... Come dance!

June means that it's time for our Flower Communion service! Like last year, we are thrilled to have the Omega Dance Company joining us for this special ritual. We hope to see you there, too.

Some background on this service from the UUA website: The Flower Communion is an annual ritual that celebrates beauty, human uniqueness, diversity, and community.

Originally created in 1923 by Unitarian minister Norbert Čapek of Prague, Czechoslovakia, the Flower Ceremony was introduced to the United States by Rev. Mája Čapek, Norbert's widow.

In this ceremony, everyone in the congregation brings a flower. Each person places a flower on the altar or in a shared vase. The congregation and minister bless the flowers, and they're redistributed. Each person brings home a different flower than the one they brought.

We hope you join us this Sunday - and don't forget to bring a flower!
