What’s the greatest playoff series you’ve ever watched?

September 1, 1977: The New Jersey Nets traded Tiny Archibald to the Buffalo Braves for George Johnson and two future first-round picks. Those picks ultimately became Micheal Ray Richardson (1978) and Cliff Robinson (1979).

Tiny never played a regular-season game for Buffalo after suffering an Achilles injury.

🏀 WALT WILLIAMS — “THE WIZARD” 🧙‍♂️

If you watched the NBA in the ’90s, you remember the knee-high socks.

But Walt Williams could HOOP, too.

The 6’8” guard/forward went 7th overall to the Sacramento Kings in 1992 after starring at Maryland.

🔥 17.0 PPG as a rookie
🔥 All-Rookie Second Team
🔥 Career-high 40 points as a rookie
🔥 Dangerous three-point shooter
🔥 11 NBA seasons

“The Wizard” had rare size, handles and shooting for his era — a true matchup problem before positionless basketball became the norm.

He played for the Kings, Heat, Raptors, Trail Blazers, Rockets and Mavericks before retiring in 2003.

Never an All-Star. Never All-NBA.

But the nickname, the game and those knee-high socks?

Unforgettable ’90s basketball.

Who remembers “The Wizard”? 🧙‍♂️🏀

On March 5, 1985, Clyde Drexler recorded one of the strangest triple-doubles in Trail Blazers history:

🏀 13 PTS
🏀 11 REB
🏀 10 AST
😬 10 TOV

If we’re counting turnovers, Clyde technically gave us a 13-11-10-10 “quadruple-double.” 😂

The good news? Portland still beat Atlanta, 100–91.

On February 20, 1983, Mike Woodson came off the bench for the Kansas City Kings and put together one of the most ridiculously efficient scoring performances of the era.

🏀 48 POINTS
🎯 22-of-24 FG (91.7%)
🔥 1-of-1 from three
⏱️ 32 minutes
🚫 0 turnovers

Woodson missed just TWO shots from the field all night.

The 48 points were a career high — and remain the most points ever scored off the bench in Kings franchise history.

An absolutely absurd night that rarely gets talked about. 😳🏀
