Wanna try racing bikes? How about this Saturday 4/18? The CRCA is hosting Men’s and Women’s Race Clinics at the Mengoni Grand Prix! Pin your first number in a supportive environment with experienced mentors riding alongside you the whole time. If you need an extra nudge, the forecast is looking amazing.

Shoutout to our Beginner Racer Clinic partner, New York Cycle Club. As New York’s largest recreational cycling club, they play a huge role in growing the local cycling community, and many CRCA members got their start there. We’re thrilled that they’re also supporting cyclists taking their first leap into racing!

📌 The CRCA Board is committed to fostering a community in which all individuals are welcome and treated with respect and dignity. To that end, we adopted the following policy in 2017:

🔹Century Road Club Association and all of its events are a safe and inclusive space for all.

🔹Discrimination or harassment of any type on the basis of race, color, religion, s*x, s*xual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, or any other characteristic protected by law will not be tolerated at our events.

Following USA Cycling’s adoption of Policy VII which contradicts the Club’s Inclusivity Policy, CRCA will no longer sanction its races through USAC. Races will continue to operate under existing USAC Category systems but will be sanctioned through NABRA. Within this framework, the following principles apply:

“Men’s fields” are open to all racers: men, women, and non-binary racers who self-select to race in the Men’s field.

“Women’s fields” are open to cis women, trans women, and non-binary racers who self-select to race in the Women’s field.

For further information on field eligibility, see the CRCA Technical Guide on crca.net

Big changes are coming for the 2026 season. 🚴‍♀️🚴

Most significantly, the CRCA board is excited to announce that we will sanction our races through NABRA (North American Bicycle Racing Association) moving forward. Doing so ensures CRCA remains a space where all racers are welcome.

We are proud to take this step to protect the culture and health of our club. Check out the full preview of the 2026 season at crca.net.

CRCA next steps on USAC’s policy change. If you have any ideas about how we can navigate this as a club, please send an email to [email protected] by 9/19. 🏳️‍⚧️

CRCA is one of the largest and oldest bike racing clubs in the country and we are deeply upset by your recent policy changes and your inability to stand up for the human rights of all of your members. We’re going to take some time to make this right for CRCA, please be patient with us as we try to figure this all out.
