1 week to go! Are you ready? 💙🧡💚

PSA: please discard your "throw away" clothes in the boxes provided! NYRR will be donating them to Goodwill. Do not wait to discard them on the bridge, it's REALLY hard for us to clean them up AND it's dangerous for your fellow runners (trip hazard!) Please & Thank You! 😬

Pro photos from the London Marathon! Thanks photographers for some great shots-- I know we recreational runners usually look terrible in action photos 🤣

28 miles (me) & 50 miles () 😱 today, out & back to the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge today! We haven't seen each other in person since 2019, but we've been friends for over 20 years so it was just like old times. Such a great day. ❤️

A somber day for . But it's the smart & right thing to do for our runners, spectators, & communities. We will get through these times, together. Stay & we'll see you in 2021. 💙

My stepdaughter is the same age as Breonna. I can only imagine what her family is going through. What a beautiful soul & human she was. Say her name. Read her story. Stand by her family's side. 🖤

Say her name.

Meet Breonna Taylor. From Louisville, Kentucky. She was an emergency room technician who had been fighting on the frontlines helping her community in the fight against Covid-19. She was murdered on March 13th, 2020 by police officers who broke into her home and shot her. Today would have been her 27th birthday. Please visit to sign petition for and to support her family who has filed a wrongful death suit against the LMPD officers who were involved.

Next Wednesday is Global Running day! Go to nyrr.org & take the pledge to run 1 mile in honor of someone or something on Wednesday, June 3. Post your achievement on social media & tag someone else to take the pledge! We might not be able to physically be together, but we can experience the joy of running together as a community. 💙

Today we were supposed to be at the Popular Brooklyn Half pre-party. We are saving lives by canceling these events. Relish in your memories and/or focus on your running future. We're in this together, and it will be over sooner than we know. 💙

P.S. I ran it twice before 2012 but they didn't do medals back then. Can you imagine that today? The outrage! 😂

Thanks for allowing staff to help distribute masks this week! Today I went to gorgeous Alley Pond Park in Queens! Looked like May, felt like February 😂. People were so grateful and great at social distancing! Check out NYC.gov for a list of times & locations! ⬅️ 6 feet ➡️ 😷💙

Happy Birthday & R.I.P. Ahmaud Arbery. May justice prevail. 💔

This morning I helped to distribute masks with my teammate & / on Staten Island's gorgeous South Beach! We gave out over 10,000 reusable/washable masks to responsible New Yorkers, & although we ran out in an hour, there are more giveaways taking place all week throughout the five boroughs. Go to NYC.gov to find times & locations! 😷

Pro tip for veteran NYC runners who are tired of avoiding crowded parks these days: GET OUT THERE EVERY TIME IT RAINS. NO ONE ELSE IS OUT! 🌧🌧🌧

With the postponed & the Popular Brooklyn Half cancelled, you might be feeling down, even if you "get it" in context of the global pandemic. Keep that perspective. This is the right thing to do; we need to protect ourselves as a society and keep our loved ones safe. And remember our who will he too busy and/or exhausted to take care of us during recreational road races. Stay safe and strong and healthy. Look back on old photos from the days where you could touch your friends..... 💛

These photos are from the 2019 Boilermaker & the 2016 Brooklyn Half, the last time I was able to run the event before I became part of 💙
