Manhattan Youth

Dear Friends,

Our community and Manhattan Youth were deeply affected by the events of September 11th.

We commemorate this anniversary each year to honor the past and reaffirm our commitment to the future of Lower Manhattan. Our staff called the first community meetings on days 4 and 5 after 9/11 in the Canal Street playground to begin the healing and rebuilding—and we have never stopped helping our beloved community.

Please join us as we reflect on our shared experience and resilience as we honor the memory of those we lost on that tragic day and in the years since, through conversation and music provided by the Tribeca Chamber Players: Samuel Barber's Adagio for strings and Mozart's D Major "Hoffmeister" quartet.

Summer Rising is well underway and we are having a blast! This past week we had a local library come for a book giveaway & students were able to sign up for a free library card as well!
