Coming out of the Holidaze and happy to be back in the routine!

For those of you that don’t know me, my name is Kara. I have been a devoted student of Pilates for more than 20 years and have been teaching in NYC for 15! As Bed Stuy’s only classically trained instructor I teach the methodology created by Joseph Pilates nearly a century ago.

With a focus on private and semiprivate training, students are guaranteed customized sessions. It is this unique and personalized approach that makes the method so effective. In this way Pilates is for everyone……from athletes and dancers to prenatal and postnatal women to those dealing with injury….and everyone in between!

With a regular practice you will see increased body awareness, improved concentration, better breathing, improved coordination and balance, increased strength and flexibility…..you’ll just feel better! Snuck away for some self studio time and found my teachers’ teacher on . It was lovely to hear Bob’s voice and his simple clear cues. I hear his voice in the voice of my teachers. I feel honored to be part of his lineage. And I was reminded that all these years later my transitions are still too slow!!!
