This weekend, I lost my Grandma . 98 years of pure love, wisdom, and grace and she left us exactly the way she lived: peacefully, in her bed, with a smile on her face. Like she already knew, and she was at peace with it. Her way of telling us to trust in God’s plan, just like she always did.
I was lucky enough to grow up by her side for a few years as a child, and she loved me like I was one of her own. We all called her Mami because that’s exactly what she was. Not just to her family, but to everyone around her.
If I could say one last thing to her, it would be this:
Gracias por tu amor, por tu comprensión y todas las lecciones que me diste. Por los corazones que ayudaste a unir a Niurkis 😘. Te pido perdón por no venir más temprano a verte como lo han hecho todos estos últimos años, pero estaba en mis planes. Que Dios te acompañe y te tenga siempre cerca de Él. Te quiero, mi Mami.
Rest easy. 🤍

Sled work never gets easier. You just get better at suffering.

This is what it looks like when people decide to show up for themselves. My job is just to make sure the room is worth showing up to.

My greatest lesson is 18 today! 🥹🫶🏾
Nothing prepares you for this. To know you is to love you, kid. You’re a breath of fresh air. I’m so excited for this year ahead and to keep watching you grow into the incredible human you already are. You are so loved. Love, Dad

36. Stronger than ever 💪🏾
Not because of extreme workouts or perfect weeks.
Because of consistency, and finally respecting the basics.
• Prioritizing sleep
• Strength training 3x/week minimum
• Eating enough protein
• Creatine
Nothing fancy. Nothing viral. Just habits done long enough to matter.

I walked into this weekend feeling a little lost as a coach.
I walked out full.
Full of purpose.
Full of connection.
Full because of the coaches, practitioners, and humans in the room who reminded me that coaching is built on trust, humanity, and showing up for people when they need it most.
This weekend didn’t teach me new exercises.
It reminded me why I coach.
Grateful for the community, the conversations, and the professionals who led with care and integrity. Walking into the New Year grounded in my why.
Big thanks to crew for making this happen.

I’d rather be uncomfortable for a season than regretful for a lifetime.
Skill isn’t gifted, it’s built.
And I’m still building.
Every seminar, every certification, every hour spent learning is a reminder that growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens by choice.
At 35, I walked away from comfort.
Today, I’m in rooms I used to dream about… not because I was the most talented, but because I refused to stay the same.
If you’re in your learning era — stay there.
If you feel behind — you’re not.
If you’re scared — that’s a sign you’re moving.
Keep choosing the path that stretches you.
Your future self will thank you for it. 🫶🏾

As a Latino man, I was taught to stay in a “safe” job. At 35, I walked away anyway.
I spent 11 years as a bellman, holding onto stability because that’s what I was told success looked like.
But deep down, I felt stuck. Unmotivated. Lost.
At 35, I finally chose myself.
I took a chance on an industry people said “wasn’t a real career.”
I went to night school.
I studied.
I got certified.
I chose discomfort over regret.
And it changed my life.
Now I wake up doing something I love meeting people, coaching, helping others feel strong in their bodies.
I’ve found purpose, community, and mentors who pushed me further than I could have imagined.
The craziest part?
I feel like I’m just getting started.
If you’re feeling stuck… this is your reminder that it’s never too late to start again.
