On Monday, June 1st, Susan is receiving a Flo-Bert award at Tap Ex!
We have a huge group of alumni prepping to perform in this show as a big thank you to Susan — you can come see at Theater For the New City at 7pm on Monday!
On National Tap Dance Day, taught a Brazilian rhythm class at TDC and we got a little history lesson along with it!
This is the explanation behind the popular Brazilian song “17 e 700” by Luis Gonzaga — it’s often played during Festa Junina in Brazil!

Want to get your child moving this summer? We have TAP CAMP FOR KIDS!
Here at Tap Dance Central we’ll have multiple 5-day long Tap Camp sessions in July and August. We’ll have camps for kids ages 6-10, 8-12, and 12-16; whether or not your child has tap experience or not, there is a place for them at tap camp!
PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE: MAY 1st

8:45am - 3:30pm each day
For young dancers age 8-12 with prior tap experience (3-5 years).

Tap Camp for Kids at TDC!
This summer we’ve got a bunch of kids’ tap camps, and we have some for kids with AND without tap experience, so every child can find their place! Each camp session is 5 days long - each day, your child arrives at TDC at 8:45am and leaves at 3pm. We work on tap technique, learn tap history, do arts and crafts, dabble in other styles of dance, and go on field trips!
