According to Sean Deveney, Porter is seeking an extension starting at around $40 million annually, roughly what he currently makes.

“Porter is in the final year of his deal and wants an extension that starts at about what he is making now. The Nets likely won’t go that high…”

If Brooklyn can’t find common ground, expect the trade rumors to heat up once again.

And even if Porter gets extended, Deveney says he could still become a trade candidate by next February’s deadline.
