First beach ride in 5 years! 🚲☀️ Hit Fort Tilden with We took the long way, & man, it felt good to ride again.

The truth? The past few years were brutal: five surgeries, multiple infections, nearly lost my leg (and almost my life). I even considered amputation as a way to 1) relieve the pain & 2) to be able to be mobile again. I mean, having a leg that doesn't work that is causing severe pain? Or remove the problem & pain , have a prosthetic & move in with my life. Thankfully I was able to keep it, still have pain but not like before;)
Found the right doc. And Pushed through. I’m walking, riding, dropping the weight, & getting stronger every day.

Ok folks we have to lock to the main frame of the bike. This bike owner has high security rating lock but has locked it in a way that all a thief needs to do is either bring a wheel back with a wrench & take less than a minute switching the wheel & ride off or loosen the wheel and carry it off or ghost ride it with another bike. With people researching almost every stupid thing in the world, maybe Google how to properly lock my bike. I hope they come out later and their bike is still there & not just a wheel!

This sturmey archer dyno hub kept getting stuck & pulling the cables out when the wheel turned, so I opened it up & yes it was full rust & looked as if it had never been serviced in its 52 yrs of existence. After cleaning, de rusting then re packing it w/ the best grease I had , it now rides SUPER DUPER SMOOTH;) some jobs are more satisfying than others! Oh and this Richard Marx song is so ridiculous not satisfying , but it is funny. When I watched the video it transformed me back to my childhood where I would turn the station abruptly before the song was let lose into my brain!
