Same-size snacks. Different calories. Here’s why!
One gram of fat contains about 9 calories, while protein and carbohydrates contain about 4 calories per gram.
That means two snacks can look almost identical in size but have very different calorie totals.
Foods with more fat can be more energy-dense, especially when they contain oils, nut butters, cheese, sauces, or fried ingredients.
That does not make fat “bad.” Fat supports normal body functions and can help meals feel satisfying.
The useful skill is knowing WHEN a small portion carries more energy than it looks like.

Struggling to stay consistent with workouts when life gets busy?
You may not need more motivation. You may need a plan that fits your actual week.
A shorter workout you can finish is better than a long workout you keep putting off. Blocking time on your calendar makes training easier to protect, and following a structured program removes the daily question of what to do next.
Consistency gets easier when your workouts work with your schedule instead of competing with it.
BK Fit On-Demand gives you structured workouts you can follow from anywhere, even during your busiest weeks. Sign up now.
