A lot of tension comes from missing the exhale during the effort, which throws off rhythm and adds strain. Keep repeating that, and the sets feel rougher, pressure rises, and progress stays slower than it should.
Exhale through the mouth on the push, stay tall, and let the breath guide the rep. That small adjustment can change how the whole set feels.
