Thanks to everyone showed up for our City of Water Day! The weather was perfect and the boats were full! Special thanks to our club member volunteers, our new volunteers (Kevin, Jamir, and Jerry!) and our guests from the Hudson River Community Sailing and Harlem River Rowing Club that helped paddle the boats back to our boat house. Thank you all! It was a memorable and lovely day.

We got out on the water later than usual last Sunday due to lightning nearby! One app shows possible stormy weather another shows partly cloudy but mid 80s for this upcoming Sunday (June 29th). Join Inwood Canoe Club for City of Water Day, celebrating water access for everyone across the five boroughs, on SATURDAY, JULY 12.

We will host a special Open House program in Inwood Hill Park, near the Columbia Boathouse—not at our own boathouse on the Hudson. This special version of Open House showcases the scenic waters of Muscota Marsh and Spuyten Duyvil Creek, not far from the club’s original location over a hundred years ago.

City of Water Open House will be held from 2pm to 4pm, on Saturday July 12, in Inwood Hill Park. In-person sign-up begins at 1:30pm. First come, first served.

There will be no public programs at our boathouse that weekend.

We had a decent turn out last Sunday considering the light rain! Come out to Open House this Sunday (learn more about it in the link in our bio)! It’s supposed to get up to 96 degrees!

Rain or shine, free kayaking goes ahead in . Father’s Day fun. Register by 9 AM. Rain should stop around 9:30!! Kayaks go out at 9:45, 10:30, or 11:15. Sign your waiver at home in English/Spanish! See you at the Inwood Canoe Club, 360 Dyckman St. https://www.inwoodcanoenyc.org/open-house
