The World Yoga Center welcomes students of all ages, traditions and backgrounds, at every level of ability. We are very proud of the World Yoga Center.

Through the Yoga practices, students embark on a transformative journey of awakenment while developing bodies that glow with health. Decades after we opened our doors in 1972, we are still here at our original address. Only Yoga has been practiced in our beautiful space and the atmosphere here is unusually pristine and serene. In case you missed Rudrani's beautiful message:

There’s only one way to manage our own human frailty, disappointments and conflicts, and that is to see the Conscious energy dwelling at the very root of our being. The sages of Yoga call this Supreme Consciousness. It lives within us at the core of all highs and lows. To inquire into our conscious source takes us beyond the personal dimension, bringing us into the boundless realm where stillness and peace dwell in the midst of life.

A deep appreciation and recognition of this core energy is a skill meant to dissolve the mind’s cloud-bank of obscuration. It is why we practice within ourselves and practice together.

As our country suffers the seeming increase in polarization, may we practice together for the sake of higher mind. The highest part of our mind does not perceive duality as a reality. It perceives unity and non-dual presence not only within the cosmos, but within all human beings.

Despite the great variety in our outlooks, despite the scourge of hatred and despite major differences in cultural imprinting, may we soothe the polarized mind including the one we carry within.

And

May we keep the world-wide human family out of real and dangerous conflict... it’s up to everyone.

Let's take the reduced busyness of the Summer season as an opportunity to develop this. May we see our own inner Consciousness beneath the evanescence of life's highs and lows… it is the heart of Yoga.

With love and blessings,
Rudrani

Two Spaces Remain - Early Bird Pricing Ends July 15th!

After a full year, we are excited to announce the return of our beloved summer retreat—an immersion into deep practice, nature, and community. We will be gathering once again at a place of extraordinary natural beauty, now familiar and cherished by many of us: Beecher Lake and the Dai Bosatsu Zendo in the Catskill Mountains.

For two decades, our extended World Yoga Center community has returned to this sacred sanctuary, bringing with us our friends, family, and close associates. Nestled in 400 acres of untouched forest and resting beside a crystal-clear, spring-fed mountain lake, this place of refuge offers a profound stillness that mirrors the home within us: our peaceful, authentic core.

With much excitement, Rudrani and Jacalyn invite you to join us for another wonderful summer retreat at Dai Bosatsu Zendo, a pristine mountain sanctuary in the Catskill Mountains.
The Zendo has hosted our deep and fulfilling retreats for seventeen seasons. As the WYC community gathers to practice Anusara yoga, meditation and inner reflection, we will be surrounded by the magnificent, unspoiled beauty of nature.
Our retreat group will stay at the Zendo and in the newly renovated guest house that sits overlooking the sparkling spring-fed Beecher Lake. The guest house has a new, spacious sun-deck and refurbished rooms that are both comfortable and homey!

"I take these long amazing bike rides home after Monday night Hatha class followed by Meditation class. I ride after my body and mind have been stretched, exercised, super educated, soothed and then gently quieted. Quieted for longer and completely different stretches of time than I would have ever imagined possible, and then woken with a sort of gentle shudder that says: THERE IS AWESOMENESS! My ride away is like flying in the dark. The colored lights blurring by me in the night air. Everything seems extra sparkly. It's part of the amazing experience that I get if I’m lucky on a Monday night."

8PM-9:30PM Online Only
$23 for the class
$12 if you take the 6:00-7:15pm Open Level Class with Rudrani beforehand
