One of baseballs most promising pitchers, Aroldis Chapman, was involved in a horrible accident last night when a baseball shot off the bat of Salvador Perez and caromed off of his face. The pitcher was carted of the field and the game was then called. The issue of pitchers getting hit with baseballs because they are completely defenseless caused the MLB to legalize a new, heavier, protective helmet. The hat would not have helped protect the star. Hopefully Chapman has a full recovery.

Former Tennessee Head Coach and ESPN insider Bruce Pearl gets signed by Auburn. Auburn has struggled recently and hopes to become relevant with a new head coach.

Teddy Bridgewater had his pro day today and struggled with attributes that experts say he specializes in. Those attributes include accuracy and velocity. Teddy Bridgewater was thought by many to be the most NFL ready QB going into the draft. Usually on someones pro day they outperform their usual selves because of the fact that their is no defense and that they are not wearing pads. NFL teams will also be taking into consideration the problem Bridgewater has with size. Overall, teams with top 5 picks in the draft now have a much harder decision.

The Giants have signed ex Bronco CB Dominique Rodger-Cromartie to a 5 year deal worth $35M. This is a big signing for the men in blue as they try to fix their weak secondary from last season.
