Happy Birthday to Company Artist Alexandra Hutchinson! 🎉

Alexandra, originally from Delaware, began her ballet training at The Academy of The Dance / Wilmington Ballet . Growing up in Washington, D.C. she continued her training at The Washington School of Ballet thewashingtonschoolofballet . Alexandra is a graduate from IU Jacobs School of Music Indiana University Ballet Theater and is currently in her ninth season with Dance Theatre of Harlem. Some of her favorite repertoire includes Firebird, Donizetti Variations and The Vertiginous Thrill of Exactitude.

🇧🇷 A Presentation from the United States 🇺🇸 featuring Yvonne Hall and Donald Williams in The Four Temperaments.

Arthur Mitchell believed deeply in the power of dance as a form of cultural diplomacy. By the mid-1990s, Dance Theatre of Harlem had become a familiar presence in Brazil, returning in 1996 with works including Concerto in F, Medea, Firebird, and The Prodigal Son, alongside open classes and workshops.

This vintage poster captures an era of cultural exchange and how dance and the arts can act as a bridge between cultures, audiences and communities.

This Sunday, Harlem is the place to be! 💙
