And the practice of witnessing another

A crucial and perhaps unexpected piece of guided meditations.

It feels vulnerable.

It feels tender.

It holds the potential to generate deep unconditional love — your own capacity for unconditional love, and the unconditional love available in the world.

To give and receive this level of presence and acceptance to another being is magic.

This is what lights me up. This must be the whole point.

While meditation appears to be more or less a solo venture, like all things, we weren’t meant to do it alone. Not really. We are never truly separate.

Through the deepening of connection with self, we inevitably deepen our connection to humanity, to all beings.

A foundation of the meditation I practice and teach - a visualization . . . your environment transforming into a perfect paradise.

What sounds do you hear there?👂
What does the air feel like on your skin? 🌬️☀️
What scents are in the air? 👃
What is the view? 👀🌄🌉🌌🌅
What does it feel like to be someplace peaceful, blissful, safe? 💗

Whatever state you are able to access here, if only for a moment, is proof that you have the capacity to have that experience. Simply by moving your mind.

What if we made that movement of your mind a habit - a state of mind you could live in for two consecutive moments to start? Then it would probably feel easier to stay there for just a moment longer. As we continue to choose this over and over as a practice, eventually it becomes a habituated state of being. You could experience the whole world through the lens of this peace and bliss. This will generate more peace and bliss . . . for yourself and for everyone in your orbit 🌞🌚🪐✨
