Purveyor of fine bicycles & gear, and a damn good bike fitter. We believe that everyone deserves a bike. A bike that fits well, keeps well, rides well.

We are a down-to-earth full-service bike shop where novice and pro are equally welcome, located in DUMBO, Brooklyn. We work with a few beloved brands -- Brompton, Parlee, Mosaic, Seven, Giant/Liv, Gunnar, Co-Motion, Surly & All-City -- but we always start with bike fit. We seek to make bicycles universally beloved, grow the sport of cycling, and lay waste to banality. Really well. And, we believe

A few months ago, we built Ben a beautiful GT-1 i45 so he could ride in epic (for NYC) snow! ❄️ Just one of many adventures that are possible when you have a bike built to fit you, and all the seasons.

Treat yourself to a custom bike in 2026! Book a fitting with Ilya at Redbeard Bikes this January, and we'll have you rolling in time for spring! Link in bio, or text 718-858-2453

Happy new bike day to Carol!

Carol has been riding with us for years now, and we loved building her a beautiful RT-1 to succeed her Strada.

The second gorgeous paint job this month! 😍

We'll take more photos when the weather is more forgiving 🙃

Happy new bike day to , longtime Redbeard ride leader and friend!

We built Eiwe a Altum back in 2017, and he’s ridden it across Sweden six times in the Vätternrundan tour. Over the years, as he’s gotten stronger, we’ve worked with Eiwe on his fit. When came out with the RT-1 iTR, he knew he wanted one, it just took a couple years to make the leap! Eiwe originally planned to go for the classic look – bare titanium – but as the frame inched towards production, he decided to make a statement! He loves blue and purple, so went with a chameleon paint that mixes his favorite colors. And he’s thrilled with the result. “I wouldn’t do anything differently! Thank you, Redbeard, for building such a sweet ride.”

Mosaic RT-1 iTR with SRAM Force AXS, Enve integrated bar and stem, Enve 4.5 AR wheels (with fresh white decals!) - check back in a day or two for more photos of this beautiful bike!

Treat yourself to a beautiful bike in 2026. Book your bike fitting with Ilya this December or January. (Redbeard Bikes will be closed in February.)

Thanks to the entire Mosaic crew for all the insights. You continue to impress me with how you push the envelope. I learned about your paint process, and that it's way cooler, and way more complex, than I imagined. I learned how much there is still to learn.

The RT Zero looks spectacular. I was so stunned that I forgot to take a single photo of the complete bike.

It's quietly dashing. A thoughtful, new, take on an old idea. Unique without any air of "look at me!"

I'll share more bits and more thoughts here, and in person when y'all come by for a chat, for a fitting, for a new dream bike.
