The holidays are special✨
They are hectic and emotional, bit also they are time for celebration, connection and enjoyment.
Here are 3 strategies that will help you to maintain balance without sacrificing enjoyment.
#1 Eat slowly and to “satisfied” not “stuffed”. When you slow down, pay attention and savor your food, you feel content with much less. You also will have better digestion and allow your brain to get signals that you had enough food.
#2. Eat strategically. Many people think that if they fast before the big food event, it gives them “permission” to eat more. Instead, try eating protein-rich and balanced meals during the day leading to an event. By starving yourself you disrupt your natural hunger cues and eventually overeat. Also, try choosing dishes that you really enjoy. And remember, you don’t need to take the leftovers.
#3. Avoid a ‘screw it” mentality. Some will tell themselves “I’ll start on January 1st!”, we all said that. And I get it, it is much harder to control yourself during the holiday season, and it is very tempting to “let yourself off the hook”, but you will have to deal with the consequences. Try something that most people lack: self-control. Don’t try to be perfect with your diet and fitness during holidays but also don’t completely give up on yourself. Ask yourself: How can I adjust and make slightly better choices this time around so that future me is be proud of myself?
Trust me, it’s not easy, but not that hard either. This is not your last holiday party, last cocktail or cookie, there always going to be many more.
I believe in you 😉

You don’t want to fail.
This is probably the number one reason why you are not doing anything to achieve the body you want right now.
Maybe in the past you’ve tried this paleo diet, it worked for you for short term but you didn’t get results that you wanted. Maybe you have taken tons of Bodyrock HIIT classes but the number on the scale didn’t change and you felt like you failed.
I get it, why on earth would you start again if you failed so many times in the past?
Let me help you. You see, in the past you probably went on that diet with the mentality “all or nothing”, you were too strict to yourself, not allowing yourself to fail. You wanted to be an A-student.
What if next time you decide to start your fitness journey you take that importance of being perfect off your shoulders and look at it as an experiment. You are about to launch a long-term journey with different stages, and each stage brings you some valuable knowledge and experience. Of course, take your health and fitness serious, but not too much, imagine you are a character in a game that lasts a lifetime.

EAT LIKE AN ADULT
When it come to nutrition I love giving my clients this recommendation created by well-known strength coach and author Dan John
“Honestly, seriously, you don’t know what to do about food? Here is an idea: Eat like an adult.
Stop eating fast food, stop eating kid’s cereal, knock it off with all the sweets and comfort foods whenever your favorite show is not on when you want it on, ease up on the snacking and—don’t act like you don’t know this—eat vegetables and fruits more.
Really, how difficult is this? Stop with the whining. Stop with the excuses. Act like an adult and stop eating like a television commercial. Grow up.” ― Dan John, Mass Made Simple
What do you think about it? Do you snack like a kid or eat like an adult? COMMENT below ⬇️

Where to start when you want to change your habits?
- START WITH YOUR WHY
Ask yourself:
- Why is it important to me?
- What my life will look like if I don’t change?
- What happens if I make it work and change?
- Where my life will be in a year if I take this step forward and make this change?
If you have strong WHY and truly believe in it, change will happen.
Remember, our brain is very lazy and it seeks the easier way out so making change is very uncomfortable and it is very likely that you will experience resistance. Push though that and keep your WHY in mind.
