Before the day leaves I have to send a special Happy Birthday to my newly minted 13 year old! This miss here keeps me on my toes but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m very lucky to have had 2 beautiful intelligent daughters. Happy birthday Ms. Symiah Daddy loves you!!

Happy 21st birthday to my young man! As I think back to the years that have come and gone so quickly I’m reminded of the growth he has attained not just in years but in maturity. As a dad you work on having productive, inspiring, kind, human beings that make the world a better place. I am excited at what he will one day achieve. Special thanks go out to his Mom for always keeping him on track. You don’t raise children in a vacuum and I’m blessed that his mother is an amazing woman. Onward and upward my son the world is truly your oyster. Continue to shoot for the moon because even if you miss you’ll be amongst the stars!!

Congrats to my princess on starting her second year of medical school and giving back to others as well. She always makes me proud!

Today marks the 21st year of my 3rd child. What’s funny is he’s not the oldest or the youngest but he has the most personality of the 5. He has driven me the craziest because he has potential that the world sees but he hasn’t yet.

He’s a leader but doesn’t know it, he tries the hardest to buck the system and to do him which is the most important part of leadership.

He has helped me grow as a parent and as a person because he is one of a kind. I always say that my father if he were alive would be in love with this kid because he reminds me so much of his nature. I’m proud of him and even prouder to be his dad.

“You miss all the shots you don’t take” believe me he’s not missing any shots lol! Love You son! Happy birthday!

This day is always challenging for me. This is the day we celebrate the man who is responsible for me being here. All my memories of him are always him forcing me to think and do the things to make me a better man and human.

My father was a flawed man as we all are. He did the best he could with what he knew and what his experience allowed. Two of the things he always said to me have remained with me till this day.

He would tell me to always think before I act, and that the only constant in the universe was change. I know he did the best he could with the way he raised my siblings and myself. I always hear his voice whenever I make a parental decision or when I’m telling my siblings something he would say.

Daddy I continue to miss and love you, I shed tears for the life that you didn’t get to fully live. For the dreams you had that have gone unfulfilled. For the children, grandchildren, husbands, and wives that you never got to meet or see grow.

We honor your memory and will never forget the man you were.

Thank you Daddy! May Allah continue to bless you in paradise.

Good morning Everyone! One of my guilty pleasures is watching Cardi B. My friend turned me on to her instagram posts a few years ago and I've been hooked. Since then I've watched her be outrageous and funny at the same time.

She decided that she would make a name for herself in pop culture and she didn't stop until she did. Some people may say she lacks talent or she's just popular because she's an ex stripper. I disagree with that opinion. I watched her go from nothing to taking over everything. She has a loyal fan base and shows no signs of slowing down.

It's made me think how we who are business owners are making these money moves for ourselves. What real money moves have you decided on and won't quit until you reach your goals. Let's share some ideas and some passion and help inspire everyone! ( make those money moves!)

Guess what? It's our Anniversary!

Good morning Team Hustle family! I wanted to take a moment to celebrate you! Team hustle is what I would call an inanimate object. It's a concept a thought about something that could be created. Something bigger than the founders of team hustle ever sought out to create.

What makes this more than we thought it would be is you. Yes each and every one of you who share, post, comment, support, network and collaborate. We knew we wanted to create a safe place for entrepreneurs but we had no idea that you would even want to be a part of this concept.

I know I'm long winded but it has been officially one year since this Team Hustle thing was created. One year since we've began talking about it and inviting folks to join us.

We've had some highs and some lows but we kept the faith and have flourished in the concept, of helping and supporting those who needed it. Thank you to our day 1's who have been here since the beginning and thank you to our day 365's who have joined us recently.
