It creates unnecessary tension and sends a bad message, especially when the people involved are officials who are supposed to represent professionalism and leadership.

Go against the spirit of African football unity and respect

Rivalry is normal, but it should stay within the game: tactics, skill, and mentality — not mind games that cross into disrespect. Fans remember class just as much as they remember trophies.
