I spend so much time teaching balance that sometimes I forget to practice my own. Teaching too much about balance actually throws me off balance. A gentle reminder to rest, even when you love what you do ❤️

I’ve been thinking a lot about attachment and how easy it is to tie our worth to external things (places, roles, routines, communities, relationships, money) Especially when those things come from a place of genuine love and connection.

For a long time, I attached part of my identity to one specific space because of how good it felt to be there. But as things began to shift and move toward an end, I realized I had placed so much of my value in something outside of me.

What I’ve come to understand is that the connection, the impact, the energy I felt, it was never just about the space. It was something I created within myself and shared with others who felt the same.

Letting go isn’t easy, but it’s a powerful reminder, nothing outside of us defines who we are.

Sometimes we attach to something external only to realize that it gave us permission to express what was already within. You don’t need the external validation to access that part of you. It’s always been yours.

I keep circling back to the word balance in my reflections lately.

I’ve lived most of my life in extremes, giving 1000% to one area at the cost of neglecting other areas. It always felt like the only way to succeed was to go all in.

But lately, I’ve been craving something different. A bit softer, less rigid and more grounded. I’m learning that balance doesn’t mean giving everything equal energy, it means giving everything the energy it actually needs. And sometimes that looks like scaling back, releasing pressure, and being okay with doing enough, not everything.

Right now, I’m in a state of neutrality. Not chasing, not forcing, just being. This feels like progress too.

I used to tell myself, “One day, I’ll be successful.” Then one day, I woke up and realized, I already am. Nothing specific changed, except my perspective. Success isn’t a distant destination, it’s in the present. There will always be goals to reach, but there are also wins you’ve already achieved. Recognizing that balance is what makes you truly successful.
