I feel like midlife burnout is affecting so many of us millennial women who fought and clawed our way to the top, only to discover how empty it felt. I never would have left my old career - Iād worked so hard for decades to get there that it seemed insane to walk away from it. And yet I was angry all the time, I couldnāt put my finger on why. It felt like no matter how much I gave it would never be enough. I didnāt transition into nutrition and fitness overnight. It took years of quietly studying, teaching early mornings before work, and building up my community before I finally went fulltime. I have imposter syndrome all the time as a wellness professional and content creator - but you know what, I had it when I worked in the fashion world too. Iāve no idea whatās ahead but Iām ok with that.
Iām not sure who rescued who tbh š¤
My Momās Prawn Biryani š¦ā¤ļø
Prawn (or shrimp!) biryani is my favorite kind of biryani - and Iāve demanded my mom make it for me pretty much every time Iāve seen her for over 25 years now (!). I asked her to teach me how to make it. This is not a one-hour, one pot version (like the chicken biryani Iāve shared before). This takes about 2 - 2.5 hours and is something to enjoy the process of preparing, as much as you enjoy the process of eating it. š¤
My mom wants you to know that this particular version is one she adapted from a recipe in Hajra Mohammedās book āRecipes of Life, for Lifeā.
Recipe is at the end of the video - enjoy!

Have you made labneh before?
Fermented foods like yogurt can help support gut diversity and digestion, while higher protein and fiber breakfasts can help with satiety and steadier energy through the morning. This meal has about 20g of protein and 8g of fiber - no cottage cheese or high protein marketing required.
Send this to someone currently double majoring.
I wanna have more fun on this account and share more of myself. I find myself overthinking my content a lot lately so this is me doing something different and posting it anyway.
Iām not a trend chaser (despite working in the fashion industry a long time!). Iām an outfit repeater - and these are 3 go-to looks for me. Let me know if you want links to anything xx
