BXBC FIT KID-THE FUTURE ACHEIVERS

It is just what you have been waiting for, BXBC parents. We are bringing the Kids Program back!

BXBC CrossFit La Caja is having a Kids Fitness/Gymnastics program starting tomorrow October 3rd!! This program is for kids ages 7-12 and will be going on from 4-5pm every Monday and Thursday.

Our Fit Kids program is designed for boys and girls to grow their strength, endurance, listening skills, flexibility, confidence, and pride. With this program we hope to cultivate a group of kids who are better equipped to face whatever life brings them. It is not about winning or loosing but rather about character building and defining success in a positive manner. At BXBC, they will become part of a community of likeminded individuals, who strive for personal successes but also support and celebrate the efforts and victories of their friends. The vast majority of the Fit Kids class is body weight Gymnastics movement to help the children learn to move efficiently with their ever-growing bodies while minimizing risk of injury.

The director of the program is our new in-house Gymnastics! Coach Claudia Dentico. Claudia is a gymnastics coach at Mania Training Facility in Stony Point, NY where she coaches the kids gymnastics program. There, Claudia has seen and experienced the benefits and rewards of children’s athletics and coached gymnastics to many hundreds of kids with multiple levels and abilities. Claudia has also trained as a competitive cheerleader for 11 years in which she used gymnastics as a base for her training. As a competitive cheerleader she accomplished section and county championships every year and 3rd place finish in 2013 Nationals. She has tried and enjoyed many sports i.e. Lacrosse, Soccer, and Crew eventually to find that CrossFit was her passion.

“I began research in functional movement, mobility and injury prevention. This led me to my passion as a gymnastics coach and fitness instructor and to my studies at Manhattan College as an Exercise Science major. Working with children gives me the opportunity to help move their bodies efficiently in order to prevent imbalances and “gaps” in their fitness that lead to injury and lack of progression in their sports and endeavors” -Coach Cluadia

• If you like being around groups of people, at our group fitness classes you will find community and team spirit, which have the added benefit of human interaction and fun competition.

WHEN DO YOU FEEL MOST ENERGETIC?
• Just as some people think more clearly in the morning and others think more clearly at night, some people prefer to exercise first thing in the morning, while others prefer to exercise later in the day. There’s no right or wrong; it’s simply a matter of personal preference. We have classes starting as early as 5:30am and as late as 7:30pm!

THINK ABOUT CONVENIENCE AND COMFORT LEVEL.
• Look for a gym near your home or on the way to the office where you can work out. It’s important to find a location that’s convenient, and where the atmosphere is pleasant, comfortable, and welcoming. This will enhance your chances of going regularly.

This is not simply a scaled down version of our adult fitness class; it is and absolutely geared toward kids and their specific developmental needs!! Parents that want their kids to grow up healthy, strong, and with a lifelong love of physical activity, helping to avoid common problems associated with childhood inactivity and obesity come by for a FREE Class!!! 💥💥Ages 7-12

Powerlifting, like other forms of heavy resistance training, strengthens your skeleton and reduces your risk of injury in other sports activities.

BXBC | POWERLIFTING

Develop Raw Strength using:

Back Squat
Bench Press
Deadlift
Strict Press
Plus Accessory lifts
To develop the body’s major muscle groups of your legs, back and upper body. You will perform accessory movements in combination with the four lifts week to week to reach your strength goals. Every workout builds on the previous workout with the goal of getting you stronger over time.

In every class you will benefit from one-on-one coaching along with the energy of a small group-training atmosphere. The bottom line is if you show up and follow the program you will get stronger.

The BXBC Weightlifting Club utilizes Olympic Weightlifting to increase strength and skill with the barbell. This class is for all levels. Whether you're a competitive weightlifter, a crossfiter sharpening up your lifts, or a fitness enthusiast looking to increase your strength and power, we can take you there. Weightlifting classes will run 1-3 full hours depending on the athletes needs.
