Sometimes it can feel so annoying but I have found that I’ve had the most fun when I just go out & have fun without this super high expectation of it being anything. For sure hold your ground on boundaries & understanding what you want but sometimes not having such a finite picture of what someone looks like (only 15% of men are 6 feet or taller so consider dropping that off your checklist) may increase your chances of finding a partner that you’re compatible with.
Putting yourself out there to meet people can be challenging at first so I give you my tips on what has worked for me so far so you can get off the apps & get dating.

Loving these homemade açaí bowls. I got the açaí packets called Sambazon from Costco but can find in the freezer section in most stores. I add 1/2 banana, almond/soy milk, and whatever seasonal fruit I pick up over the weekend. Very refreshing for these hot summer days.
Berries are loaded with nutrients, antioxidants, and super tasty 😋

Today was the first day since the pandemic that I taught my first in-person yoga class and of all places in CENTRAL PARK NYC! What a dream! Seriously pinch me. 🥰 The energy of being able to see faces, laugh together, and breathe together was such an incredible experience. I am grateful to still be surviving in the fitness industry through all that it has gone through over the past year and a half. Knowing that I get to still help people feel better in their bodies and in their mind is truly a gift I never take for granted. The gratitude within the community is humbling. Knowing that I can continue to share what I love from CA to NYC and find this interconnectedness is incredible.
This level of energy truly feeds my soul. After I taught class I went to be a student in a yoga in the park class with @hadleyryser and probably had one of my best practices ever. Not because I was able to do new poses or hold old poses longer (which I did 😝) but more so because I felt that fire light up inside me again. That same fire that got me excited 9 years ago when I discovered yoga. It reminded me why I’m here. Taking that same love and kindness that I give to others and being capable of giving that to myself. Finding that path of self-love is truly the gift that keeps on giving.

Received this in the mail recently & totally forgot to share 🤦🏻♀️ It’s been a hectic month getting ready for my move, helping out my trial nutrition clients, and still training my personal training clients. Such a proud achievement though. Having not taken a college course in 20 years and being the this was Stanford University I was extremely intimidated. Not knowing if I would be smart enough to pass the course I figured if anything I would at least learn more about nutrition to compliment my previous nutrition certifications & ultimately help more people.
As it turns out, while I found it very challenging, I ended up scoring 16% higher than the class average of students all across the world 🤓While we all walked away a ton more knowledgeable about nutrition I also took away that I should believe in myself a lot more often. Even through failures we learn lessons. If you don’t try you avoid living up to your greatest potential & miss out on being a better you.
Thanks to all who believed in me & urged me to do this. I’m forever grateful for having faith in me when I didn’t think it was possible 🥰
