Our fundamental values of Positivity, Effort, Perseverance, and Sportsmanship are consistent across all of our programming. The rainouts will never prevail! Temperature less than freezing 🥶 and the kids still came out to finish the season strong. Shout out to the Cyclones and Blue Wahoos for closing out another amazing BBL season. The boys continued to grow as players and had a blast along the way. Have you ever heard of the Savannah Bananas? Well, our very own Director, Coach Adam certainly has.

This Spring, Coach Adam has been back and forth coaching with both the Bananas and their nemesis the Party Animals on their barnstorming tour. The goal was to provide the most entertaining time fans have ever had at a ballpark and they certainly are succeeding. HBO Real Sports just released a segment on the Bananas, LA Times, NY Times and every major outlet has covered them and you can watch their crazy antics on Tik Tok along with their 2.7 million other followers.

And…this Summer, ESPN will be releasing “Bananaland” a multi episode series about the tour Coach Adam was just on. So be sure to tune in and fire away with any questions you may have for Adam, and be sure to see what fun and crazy ideas he brought back for the Bulldogs.

The primary goal of our Bulldog Baseball League (BBL) has never been exclusively development and recreation. While important, it’s also key to invent new ways that TEACH kids core elements of the game and make the sport FUN. Our passion is finding new and interesting ways for the players to LEARN so that by the end of each season every kid is more prepared to succeed on the Diamond but also in love with baseball ⚾️⭐️🤘

One of the ways we try and accomplish this is by adopting a different warm-up strategy for the practice portion of each Saturday session. Instead of warming up in the same old ways with 2 coaches and a team out in right and left, kids are encouraged to interact with multiple coaches, teammates, and opponents while rotating in and out of a variety of stations all over the field.

These stations highlight different aspects of the game that include: *movement* *athleticism* *fielding* *race to 2nd* *pitching* *hitting* *tee-work* *fly ball contests* and many more in between. These pictures from last week are from this ever important practice period before each game. With playoffs just around the corner, every ounce of practice counts even more.

Bulldog Baseball League [WEEK 5]: Another awesome action packed Saturday in the books. The boys are rounding into mid-season form and continue to find success at the plate and in the field. Only a few more weeks on a Spring ‘22 season that we hope to make our best yet. Remember, always to make baseball fun. Can’t wait to get back out there this Saturday!
