Today was a tremendous day for the DSNY family as the DSNY Running Club proudly brought back the Michael Hanly Memorial Race.

On behalf of the Department of Sanitation New York City Columbia Association, we congratulate everyone involved in making this event such a success. From the runners and volunteers to the organizers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, your dedication helped honor a great tradition and the memory of Michael Hanly.

A special shout-out to our Executive Board Member, Deputy Chief Anthony Saporito, whose leadership, commitment, and passion helped make this event possible. We are proud to see members of our organization continuing to strengthen the bonds of the DSNY community while honoring those who came before us.

Congratulations to all who participated. Thank you for preserving an important piece of DSNY history and bringing our members together for a great day of camaraderie, fitness, and remembrance.

This Memorial Day, the members of the Department of Sanitation New York City Columbia Association honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We also proudly recognize and thank the members of our association who have served our nation in uniform — your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

What an amazing evening hosted by the National Police Defense Foundation. Congratulations to Executive Director Joseph Occhipinti on another outstanding event honoring such incredible individuals dedicated to public service and our communities.
