Capt. Danny aboard the 100 foot Super Current was extremely ecstatic to report another excellent day of Porgy fishing in the Western Long Island Sound! It was steady lock and load action ONE STOP SHOPPING as the hefty crowd easily slammed out a full boat limit of jumbo porgies. The fish were chewing aggressively all day long with nonstop action keeping the rods bent around the entire boat.

We are sailing daily from our City Island, New York location departing at 8 AM and returning approximately 3 PM. We are conveniently located just minutes from the Westchester County border at the first traffic light on City Island Avenue and Cross Street.

With absolutely beautiful weather forecasted, Capt. Danny will once again be running tonight’s 6:30 PM nighttime Porgy trip aboard the 100 foot Super Current. Don’t miss out on what has been phenomenal nighttime action!

Capt. Danny called in to report yet another very good day aboard the 100-foot Super Current! Once again, the crew was dialed in and absolutely PUT ON THE MEAT! The Porgy fishing continues to improve each and every day with excellent action and quality fish keeping the rods bent all trip long.

We will be sailing again tomorrow morning from 8 AM to 3 PM targeting jumbo Porgies aboard the 100-foot Super Current. We will also be back out Thursday night from 6:30 PM to 12:30 AM for another exciting nighttime Porgy trip.

Captain Scott & Capt. Chris reporting in on our 5/25 30-Hour Deep Drop Tilefish Adventure aboard the 100’ Super Current!

First and foremost, a huge special THANK YOU goes out to Wendy for helping make this outstanding offshore charter happen. We had anglers traveling in from multiple locations to take part in one of the Northeast’s finest deep drop tile fisheries, and the trip absolutely delivered!

Mother Nature gave us two days of beautiful offshore weather with excellent drifting conditions throughout the trip. The combination of calm seas, favorable current, and aggressive fish activity resulted in steady action from start to finish. Nearly everyone onboard was able to limit out with quality golden tilefish coming over the rail all trip long!

The overall size of the fish was excellent, with numerous fish in the 20-pound class and the largest tilefish of the trip tipping the scales right around the 30-pound mark. Both the quality and quantity of fish were extremely impressive and kept rods bent all throughout the canyon grounds.

Our specially hand-tied Red Panther Deep Drop Tile Rigs once again proved deadly on the fish and were available for purchase onboard throughout the trip. These rigs continue to produce exceptionally well in the deep water and were responsible for many of the trip’s biggest catches.

Our next Deep Drop Tile Trip departs Sunday, 6/7 at 8 PM from our City Island, New York location aboard the 100’ Super Current.

Captain Danny reported once again a very steady up-and-down day of catching jumbo Porgies in the western LONG Island Sound! The hardy crowd was rewarded with beautiful weather, excellent bottom fishing, and plenty of action throughout the day.

There were lots of limits to go around as anglers stayed busy with consistent catches from start to finish. The fishing remained strong all day long, and spirits were high aboard the fleet.

Even better news — a beautiful stretch of weather is in store for the next week or so, and we are ready to sail every single day!
