🎣 RHODE ISLAND BLACKFISH REPORT — MONDAY, 10/19
BOAT LIMIT! BLACKFISH TO 8½ POUNDS!

Captain Scott was at the helm out of Snug Harbor Marina for a fantastic Monday of blackfishing, with a boat limit and Todd landing a beauty weighing 8½ pounds!

Justin and his boy from the Dauntless came aboard and put on a show! The high-hook duo combined for over 30 keeper-sized blackfish ORL, enjoying plenty of action at the rail.

Lindsey from Jersey had a great day catching her limit. DJ Boomie from upstate and his crew of four made quick work of their blackfish limits before digging into some sea bass and porgies!

Alex’s crew from the Fishmonger joined the fun, catching an easy limit and keeping the action going with catch-and-release fishing. Great fishing and a great crowd aboard!

Captain Chris reporting in! The 100-foot SUPER CURRENT enjoyed a solid day of bottom fishing for porgies, with high hooks landing keepers in the 30s and even the low hooks finishing with around 15 keepers per person!

🎣 RHODE ISLAND BLACKFISH REPORT — SNUG HARBOR MARINA

With Captain Scott at the helm, our anglers put together a nice mixed catch of blackfish, sea bass, and even a few limits of porgies today!

Sean Lo took high-hook honors with 9 keeper ORL blackfish, while Simion returned with his crew, landing 7 keepers ORL himself and helping his group finish with 18 keepers ORL for the day. Mikey Red’s crew from the Super Hawk tallied 11 keepers ORL , with Little James taking the pool! Mark put together a nice limit of quality blackfish along with a handful of sea bass. Adding to the variety, a few anglers even managed porgy limits!

🎣 RHODE ISLAND BLACKFISH REPORT — SNUG HARBOR MARINA
Saturday, October 17

Solid action all day long out of Snug Harbor Marina! Quality blackfish came over the rail, along with some beautiful sea bass, and plenty of anglers headed home with limits. The boat finished just shy of a full boat limit of tog—a great day with a terrific group of fishermen!

Congratulations to Simon from Pennsylvania on our first double-digit blackfish of the season—a beautiful 10.5-pound tog that was safely released! Simon and his group of five enjoyed a fantastic trip, with everyone limiting out. That trophy release made an already memorable day even better!

Anthony, Tommy, and Dillan from New Jersey made easy work of their blackfish limits and added close to a limit of sea bass as well. Fellow Jersey anglers Joe and Steve also put together quick blackfish limits and rounded out their catch with limits of sea bass!

Jermaine from Brooklyn had an easy limit of tog, too! A big shout-out to Jhendey and his son, Sebastian, who landed some quality blackfish and sea bass and enjoyed a great day together on the water.

🎣 RHODE ISLAND BLACKFISH REPORT — SNUG HARBOR MARINA

Captain Scott called in to report some sporty weather today as we pulled away from the dock with a hardy group of diehard anglers! The heavy south wind made fishing a grind, and we worked spot after spot looking for a bite that would build. Most drops produced around half a dozen keepers, with plenty of shorts keeping anglers busy between quality fish. High hook landed seven keepers, and the biggest blackfish of the day weighed 9 pounds, 3 ounces!

Tomorrow is a new day with a different wind direction, and we are definitely sailing at 5 AM Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! Come join us at Snug Harbor Marina, 410 Gooseberry Road, Wakefield, RI 02879.

Captain Scott reported an excellent start to the Rhode Island Tog season with a beautiful healthy turnout of Tog anglers at the rail. The fish were chewing from start to finish. It was an easy boat limit for the stellar crowd that joined us today for opening day. Here are some of the highlights- Bill DeCosta from Long Island. Had bragging rights as he was high hook with 27 ORL. Alex and Paul from the Fish MONGER were not far behind a combined for 37 ORL. Eddie and Dave from team Showtime chipped away and ended up with 17 orl. Pool Fish ended up being just shy of 9 pounds today.
