🏁 END OF SEASON 600 MOD RECAP🏁
What a season it has been! Full of highs, lows, wins, lessons, and more engine failures than we’d like to count — but through it all, this team continued to push forward.

🥇JRod — Finished 1st in the Thunder & Hill Series AND 1st in points at Hill Speedway! 2x Champion

🥉Dustin — 3rd in the Thunder & Hill Series and 4th in points at Hill Speedway!

Alyssa (Doc Smashem)— This season was all about learning, trying new things, and pushing outside her comfort zone. There were plenty of challenges along the way, but every week brought something new to learn and another opportunity to improve. Even though it may not seem like much but we’re happy to say we finished a season with a pretty intact car which is a step up from last season.

Most importantly, these boys helped Doc regain her confidence and pushed her to do better each and every week. Watching this team help each other out throughout the season truly shows us what this sport is all about.

We’re not quite done yet! We still have a few races left at Thunder Mountain before we officially settle down for the winter and start preparing for next season.

Thank you to everyone who has supported, cheered us on, helped in the pits, turned wrenches, and stood behind this team all season long.

Howdy Folks! Been a busy weekend. Well ol J-Rod secured the 600 championship at the hill Friday!! Sunday we tool the ol 607 to weedsport along with 59 other crates cars. We gave it our all but unfortunately did not make the show. We did get some good info to add to the notebook. So we loaded everything up and watched the show. It was a good race. Well the boys and girl got the 600’s Thunder Mountain Speedway tonight. Maybe ol Doc Smashem will give us an update.

Howdy Folks! Ol J-Rod pulled double duty last night with the 607 and 35. The good news is that we don’t have to rebuild the front end on the big car. Little car though, yea it got hungry for one of those big white doughnuts 🤦🏻‍♂️. So some contact to the rear of the big car in the heat had us starting 14th in the feature on the last points night. Not worried as ol J-Rod is a wheelman and we had him in his hot rod. He drove up through the pack and finished the night in 3rd. Car was almost a 100% minus a new tire not cooperating fully. Cars in one piece, had fast lap times and ended the shortened season finishing 2nd in points. Frustrated a little yes, but we were the only crate to win multiple races with 2 being in a row. We built a bad ass racecar and learned a lot. Now we can run some special shows. In the damn 600, he went from 12th to 3rd to maintain his points lead in the Hill/Thunder series. So now we wash,rinse and repeat, prep for next race, and point the trailer there.

Howdy folks! What a night. Started 8th in the heat and finished 2nd. Car was beyond tight. J-Rod brought it in after the checkered for us to find a bent front axle. Oh wait, just to let y’all know, WIN #4 and back to back saturdays in victory lane!! So we changed out the front axle and car was ready before first feature was finished. Triple checked the ol 607 one last time an hope.
Started the feature 8th and J-Rod went to work. The ol 607 duck, dipped, dodged, and drove to the the top of the podium for 2 weeks in a row. After an extended stay and thorough examination of the car, we are also happy to report that the car is legal. Thank you to Thunder Mountain Speedway for being fair and thorough of the inspection, and for giving us another great surface to race on. We are running a little behind this morning as we had to go toThe Richford Diner for a celebratory breakfast. Now we focus on the last points race next weekend and hope for another strong finish. Howdy Folks! So how do I start this post off, oh yea WINNER,WINNER chicken dinner. Yes ol J-Rod drove the 607 from 10th to the top of the podium. After the week before, it was redemption time. After a caution filled feature to start, once green, Green methodically drove to the front fast, clean and smooth. J-Rod had a text book cross over move to get to 2nd in turn 1 and then it was time to get to 1st. Once in the lead, cruise control was set and the GPS was set to lane. Want to give an attaboy to Spoonhower #7 and Albanese . These boys are young and upcoming talent. Ol HD congratulated both of them on running a good race as they finished 2nd and 3rd. Give them more seat time and they will be winning drivers! Thanks goes to all our sponsors for their support,

Welp….not the view you want to see on raceday. tonight our 600s all rest in the garage after last night race.

The original plan was the boys were off as J-rod is focusing on the sportsman and Dustin is heading off to vacation. Doc Smashem was going to run tonight but after running over a chain in the heat race there was more damage to the engine than thought.

Dustin and J-rod has some solid runs last night but the cars just weren’t there 100%. Dustin took some damage to the left shock early on in the race and thanks to Tyler Talada he came back on -2 laps and finished the race. J-rod was running good until he spun out mid race and then under a red flag was pushed in for leaking water. After a quick look over we sent him back out to finish the race. At the end of the night we notice his engine may have a problem so that’s a tomorrow problem to diagnose and see if it needs to be replaced.

We all hope you’re enjoying your weekend because we got more work than time this weekend.

Weekend recap:

Friday night - The Hill Speedway

The night started with fan appreciation followed with a pop up shower that delayed the start of heats to around 10:30pm. J-rod pulled a heat win. In the feature j-rod car was fast but pushed up the track which lead to him falling back. He drove back up to 4th to end the night. Dustin drove the 95x and man he was fast but he got tangled up with some cars and dropped back. He then was moving back through the field until his gear stripped ending his night 2 laps early. Doc Smashem is still working on finding that gas pedal but survived the night.

Saturday - Thunder Mountain

J-rod focused on the sportsman which left Dustin and Doc to run the 600s. Heats weren’t anything exciting. Dustin started 17th in the feature and was a tad tight continued fighting and ended up finishing 10th. Doc started 31st and finished 24th due to the gear sprocket breaking on a restart which allowed the chain to slip off.
