UD Figure Skating

UD Figure Skating The University of Delaware Collegiate Figure Skating Team is a competitive figure skating team located at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware.

The University of Delaware Collegiate Figure Skating Team is a club sports team. We have represented UD at every Intercollegiate National Figure Skating Championship since its inception in 2000 and have never placed below 3rd. Our skaters are full time UD students who come from across the country and skate at every level in both singles and solo dance. The team is currently coached by Joel McKeever. ✨Join UDFS for our 2026 Fall Recruitment Day!!✨

💙Come join the UD Figure Skating team from 8:45am-3:15pm on Saturday, October 10th! The application is open to all high school and transfer students interested in our collegiate skating team! Recruits will get to skate with teammates, eat lunch on Main Street, and tour the UD campus!

☀️Our last graduating senior is our President, Kaitlin Sauer!

💙Kaitlin is graduating with a major in Neuroscience and minors in Nutrition and Spanish for Healthcare. Kaitlin was a UDFS Executive Board member for 3 years in the Secretary, Vice President, and President positions. Other than UDFS, Kaitlin was a member of Phi Delta Epsilon Pre-Medical Fraternity, participated in research and completed an Honors Senior Thesis. Kaitlin also worked as a tutor for undergraduate classes for the ACT and studied abroad in Italy and Spain!

💛After college, Kaitlin will be attending Georgetown University to earn a masters of science in physiology and biophysics, then attend medical school. Kaitlin’s favorite memories were this year’s Nationals in Salt Lake City and winning the 2024 Intercollegiate Nationals in Lake Placid!

💛 After graduating, Maddie plans to take a gap year and apply to PT schools. Her favorite UDFS memory was the 2024 Intercollegiate Nationals in Lake Placid!

☀️Our next Senior Spotlight is our Social Chair, CJ Williams!

💙CJ is graduating with a major in Chemical Engineering and a Dance minor. During her time on UDFS, CJ was also a member of the UD Synchronized Skating team, Society of Women Engineers, Kappa Delta Sorority and the American institute of Chemical Engineers!

💛After graduation, CJ will work for W.L. Gore and Associates as a new product development engineer, as well as skate for the Skyliners Senior Synchro team. Her favorite memory on UDFS was announcing team maneuvers at the 2025 Intercollegiate Nationals with her big, Julia and landing her double axel at our home comp last year!

☀️Our next Senior Spotlight is Erin Bridges!

💙Erin is graduating with a double major in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science! Besides UDFS, Erin has served as the Secretary of Active Minds for two years and is a Research Assistant in the Movement and Visual Perception Lab on campus.

💛After graduation, Erin will be moving back home to coach and work while applying to jobs. Her favorite memory is a tie between 2024 Intercollegiate Nationals when UDFS won and 2026 Intercollegiate Nationals in Salt Lake City!
