Newly introduced Ohio assault weapons ban. Take some time and read this proposed change, then contact your local representatives.

The proposal appears to have been written not to only ban what they consider "assault weapons" but all semi-automatic fi****ms, not just rifles.

(D) As used in this section, "assault weapon" means an automatic firearm that has not been rendered permanently inoperable, a semi-automatic firearm capable of accepting a detachable magazine with the capacity to accept ten or more cartridges, and a semi-automatic firearm with a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept ten or more cartridges.

This would essentially ban ALL semi-automatic fi****ms capable of accepting magazines that can hold 10 or more rounds. This limit would be to allow only fi****ms that can accept 9 rounds or less.

Please take the time and contact your representatives and let your voice be heard, they are coming to take your fi****ms and this will just be the start.
