Mason-Dixon Trail Fall Equinox Run 50K/25K
Saturday September 12, 2026 - 8PM (50K) and midnight (25K)
Join us for a nighttime adventure on one of the most beautiful trails in the region! Run the most fun part of the Mason-Dixon Trail twice(!), an out-and-back starting at Shank’s Mare and turning around past Otter Creek campground. This section of the M-DT is one of the most scenic and most challenging. Especially at night! Same as in 2024, the fall equinox run is a night run. This run is for runners who know the trail well and/or know how to navigate and who have night running experience. It is not for novice runners. Especially the 50K is a tough course (8,000 ft gain). The race is organized as a self-supported run: only water provided and shared items (drop bag is an option), no crew, no pacers. The 25K starts at the 50K turnaround point and we will help organize transportation for 25K drop off. You can also do a shorter distance (e.g., out-and-back). Free (supported by PHUNT/Trail Dawgs). Organized by Luc Claessens, and Roxanne and Dave Strine.
