This is my 3rd Cod around 5” I’ve caught in my favorite fishing spot this year! I’ve been fishing there since 2010 and I’ve caught 3 Cod this year never caught them at this spot in 16yrs. Might be a sign things are turning around for a beloved saltwater species!!

I wasn't alone while trout fishing this afternoon, as Mertle the Common Snapping Turtle was also present, searching for an effortless meal. It was quite a sighting, as the turtle seemed prehistoric in size, weighing around 40-50 pounds.
