🎃 Hello, Newman Community! 🎃
The City of Newman Recreation Department, would like to cordially invite you and your families to our Annual Trunk-or-Treat Event! 👻🍬
📅 Friday, October 30, 2026
🕔 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
📍 Downtown Newman – 1200 and 1300 Blocks of Main Street
We are excited to welcome thousands of families to our downtown area for an evening filled with candy, costumes, and community fun!
🎃 A Few Important Reminders and Guidelines:
🚫 Please do not arrive before 5:00 PM. Our participating trunks and volunteers will still be setting up, and we want to ensure everything is ready and safe before welcoming everyone.
🎟️ Check-In Locations:
Please enter the event through one of our two designated check-in locations:
• Main Street & Kern Street – Near the Newman Police Department.
• Main Street & Fresno Street – On the City Hall side.
🍬 How Does Trunk-or-Treat Work?
At check-in, every participating child will receive a special Trunk-or-Treat Passport!
As you visit each trunk, you will receive a piece of candy and a stamp on your passport. Once you've collected all your stamps, turn in your completed passport for a chance to WIN A RAFFLE PRIZE! 🎁
🛍️ FREE Trick-or-Treat Bags!
Thanks to the generosity of the Newman Fire Department, children will also receive a FREE trick-or-treat bag at check-in, while supplies last!
❤️ Be Fair and Share!
We kindly ask that each child receive one piece of candy per trunk. Our participating businesses, organizations, and community members are generously donating their time, candy, and resources to make this event possible. Please help us ensure there's enough candy for everyone!
🚸 Safety First!
• All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
• Drivers, please SLOW DOWN and use extra caution around our downtown area. We anticipate thousands of pedestrians throughout the evening.
• Please follow the directions of event staff and volunteers to help keep everyone safe.
