AJ Salierno Golf

AJ finished pre season Qualifying at -3 shooting scores of 71/71/68/74 and good enough to tie 1st. The team scores were close and AJ was only 7 shots ahead of not traveling. AJ stood strong after a +5 start to the final round to make 5 birdies coming down the stretch, save a solid day and confirm his spot this weekend. We get to go see him play his 1st college tournament this weekend in South Carolina.

Round 3 update:
. 68 today for AJ on a course he has never played before without a practice round.
1 round to go on Tuesday. In a good spot.

AJ is 2/4 rounds into his Team Travel Qualifier and sits -2 under par and Tied 1st after shooting 71/71. Lots of Golf left to qualify but a solid start. He also earned his under par gamer bag for breaking par in a Qualifier round. The 3rd round is on Sunday afternoon.

Wait and See Mode- AJ is now in the Qualifying Tournament at Kennesaw State starting today- next Tuesday (4 rounds) to decide travel squad next weekend to Coastal Carolina. Just keeping people up to date. I’ll post an update after tomorrow. This is not a picture of this event.

I can’t help but commemorate AJs successful last 5 years as a junior golfer as he transitions to a college golfer this weekend. We are excited for his future but relish the child he was and the young man he is becoming. He puts Jesus first and relies on the Holy Spirit to guide him. I wanted to share the compiled success he has had on the golf course on this page for memories. 14 Wins, 8 Top 5s and 8 Top 10s, no cuts missed and a number of top 20s etc not counted here all in the past 5 years of highly competitive golf. God gets the Glory and a thank you for all the life lessons and the blessings.

AJ Salierno Cruises to Four-Shot Win at YellowHammer Invitational Kennesaw State-bound Georgian closes with 70 to capture title at Grand National

It wasn’t by accident AJs best 54 hole tournament was going on at the same time of our Go Church summer revival. When God makes promises and tells you the word patience, you know He will do great things for those who follow Jesus. . AJ won a fairly high level College Amateur tournament at RTJ Grand National in Auburn. Yellowhammer Invitational Somewhere he had some previous success. They played 7300 yards and a former PGA Tour stop for the Barbasol Championship which has prominent up and comers win like Xander Schauffele in 2017. AJ has shown moments and had some great rounds of golf but this was his best 3 days consecutive quality of play, strong mental control and overall professional mentality and performance. When the lead shrunk to 1 stoke late in round 3, AJ made back to back birdies on 14&15 to take back control then made 3 strong pars to close it out on 16-18. This marks AJs 15th multi day golf tournament win since 2022.
