Thank you Oakhill Cattle Company and all those who work to provide such an awesome community service hosting Meriwether County Ag Day!

🐎 The Coweta Chicks In Chaps 4H Mounted Drill Team 🐎 started this season with one our favorite appearances- the Meriwether County AG Day was absolutely amazing.

So grateful to the community leaders who put this annual event together for Meriwether County 5th Graders! A day filled with helping children see the joy (and work) and thrill of horse life while being ambassadors of sorts for the sport of equestrian drill is always such an honor.

This team of young equestrian 4H’ers truly demonstrated leadership, talent, commitment to their sport, and service to the community today! LOVE this group of young women- their poise, determination, and skill makes us so proud! We are incredibly grateful to our riders, their parents, and our local 4H extension office that supports these opportunities for our youth!

Cannot leave this without thanking our AMAZING sponsors! This season our local citizens and businesses have shown such generosity and support for this team of cowgirls! Thank you to each and every one of you!

Try outs are still on for tonight! Excited to see everyone there! Forecast calls for rain to blow through around 5 pm but supposed to clear by 6! Of course, safety first- if we have lightning in the area , we will delay for a bit but proceed once it passes! Summer in the Southeast is soooo much fun!

Exciting news! The Chicks In Chaps are holding open tryouts after a FREE mini-clinic to teach some basics and help potential riders get a taste of this awesome sport! Please see our flyer for details. Different teams for different rider levels! We are a team of young ladies at this moment...but would gladly have a "Chicks AND Chaps" team again if we have some young cowboys interested! Check out our RSVP form to register and help us get to know you! Just click the link below!

Congratulations Olivia Miklosovic! Olivia has had an amazing year- but a year of challenges. Her main guy struggled with a bucking issue, and Olivia has shown us all what a truly sticky seat looks like! So proud of her family dedication to getting him healthy and happy again, and wow it shows in those speed events! But she doesn’t JUST go fast! Olivia also has worked with a new green Thoroughbred this year and had an excellent showing at State! In ADDITION, she showed her mom’s sweet boy successfully in Ranch classes! This girl is an all-around horsewoman and it shows! Congratulations Livy to you and all your mounts! Dawn Thompson Miklosovic

We will all be cheering you on!

So much to celebrate this year- but we want to take a few minutes to recognize some of our riders in their overall performance accomplishments! So proud of our ladies for showing up and showing out (in a good way 😊) at Georgia 4H State Show! I think every rider who competed placed top 10! But…one at a time…and today we give a huge shout out to our Addelyn! This wild child’s smile and spirit kept her coach going with joy in my heart all season! Congratulations Addelyn on your amazing accomplishments and give Levi (iykyk) a treat from Coach Dixon! Savannah Jeanne

SEMDTA Advanced Division Champs! Congratulations Chicks in Chaps Varsity! For sure the season had its challenges but this team just wouldn’t quit! Thank you to the riders who literally rode through the trials and to those who rose to the occasion to get us to another championship title! Those buckles have been hard earned and much deserved! The competition was stiff but these ladies along with their amazing equine athletes rode their hearts out! Well done Chicks in Chaps Varsity!
