Today I was blessed to get on the water twice. Steered a six person Outrigger Canoe with Offshore in the morning fog, and I'm LOVING my new
Steering blade! And later, when the sun came out, I hopped in an OC2 with AJ. We had a great time and our ocean time ended with 6 🐬 dolphins around the canoe!
Happiness comes in waves, it's always extra with dolphins!

With guidance from seasoned NAC Outrigger Team paddlers, you’ll master paddling basics, water safety, and surf skills. Each week, you’ll push your limits as you glide through Newport Harbor in large team canoes — no one paddles alone! 💛💙

💪🏼Test your skills in an optional team “race” at the Annual NAC Hal Rosoff Race on Saturday, February 8. Feel the thrill of racing as your team charges through the course together!

NAC Kids Paddle Camp in June!!! So much fun coming up this summer 🌞

Our summer camp registrations are OPEN! The NAC Paddle Camp is a 5 day camp and will explore the Back Bay while learning the basics of water safety, kayaking, outrigger paddling, and stand up paddling.
Ages 7-12
9am - 1pm

The Fun Times Paddle Meetup group at NAC is BACK on Tuesdays at 3:45pm, starting on 4/2!
Toes wet at 4pm for a 1 hour paddle with coaching. Come out and play with us, level up your paddling skills.
SUP & kayak rentals through Newport Aquatic Center are available for this meet up, please arrive early to get your rental equipment. $5.00 drop in fee for non-members of NAC.

Yesterday was Wet Foot Wednesday! It was beautiful, the clouds mixing with the sun, creating such dramatic scenes and saw a rainbow 🌈 I wasn't quick enough to capture. So much fun getting out in the morning before the storm 🌧️.
During the high tide, we saw plenty of marine life too: a young harbor seal 🦭, gigantic Garibaldi, schools of little fish, several types of birds, and a bright red bat starfish!

I love sharing the stoke with beginners and celebrating all the WINS 🎉🎉🎉
I didn't know about the birthday until they left but would have been happy to sing it loud on the water (bring ear plugs)🫣🤣😜
Talk about leveling up! They both went for it and went for a swim too - if you're not getting wet 💦, you're not trying... We learn through play, experience, trial and error... but it's easier when you have a cheering section celebrating your success, someone coaching you through the learning phase, and having FUN!

Plus we had marine life today: a seal, sea lions, dolphins 🐬🐬, all kinds of birds and fish 🧜🏻‍♀️

Yesterday at Newport Aquatic Center was so much fun doing a PSUPA - Professional Stand Up Paddle Association training for a New SUP & Kayak Guide in Arizona - Pleasant Lake has a new SUP & Kayak rentals business, AZ Paddle Ju**ie .
I truly enjoy sharing the knowledge I've gained with future instructors and guides. I love to see when they learn new tools to help others enjoy the water we love, when they get how to grow the sport and give people a positive experience.
