Losing weight does not have to be miserable. There are so many different ways to approach it, and some tips can be more helpful than others.
The biggest thing you want to focus on for weight loss is making it EASY to stick to and ensuring that you are consistently FULL. Having these two things will ensure success.
In order for it to be easy to stick to, you need to actually LIKE your diet. Don’t do keto if you love carbs. In order to be consistently full, you need to eat the right TYPE of foods.

All the rules you know, I’ll break.
Never ate 1g of protein per lb of body weight…
Never ate in a surplus to gain muscle…
Put on muscle and lost fat while eating a vegan diet, no animal products…
All of that stuff is fine. Im not saying it doesn’t work, but there IS a better way.
A way where you don’t have to gain 20lbs for 6 months out of the year on a “bulk” just to put on muscle.
Fitness industry will always lie to you so you can buy their supplements, support meat and dairy farms, and spend more $$ than you actually need to.
I broke all of their rules and still succeeded. These successful habits are what I teach to my clients too.
No room for following the norms here.

Going fully plant based is a process! I recommend you take your time learning about it and gradually expose yourself to new plant foods while eliminating animal products. Your body will thank you!

In the standard American diet, we get an excess of omega-6 fatty acids and not enough omega-3 fatty acids. This unbalanced ratio leads to excess Inflammation and disease in the body.
Omega-3s have an anti-inflammatory effect and omega-6’s have an inflammatory effect. Omega-3’s should be increased in your diet to see best health benefits. Luckily, a plant based diet is full of omega-3 options.
You can include flax, chia, and h**p seeds in your smoothies or on your oatmeal. You can chop up walnuts nice and fine and include them in a lentil bolognese recipe. And you can take an omega supplement in the form of algal oil!

The power to transform our bodies and our minds is in our hands.
Get your fitness and nutrition dialed in, and you will have much more success in other areas of your life. It’s a domino effect. How you treat yourself will reflect on how you treat your family members, coworkers, and friends. Work on YOU, everything will fall into place.
✅SLEEP 8 hours every night. Not only is sleep important for recovery from the gym, but it helps regulate your hormones. The more sleep deprived you are, the bigger appetite you will have, the more stressed you will be, and less satisfied after meals. Your decision making capabilities will also be lower.
✅TRAIN 3 times per week. That’s all I do with my clients and myself. Include lifting weights in your routine and go on lots of walks or bike rides.
✅EAT nutritious foods. Nourish your body and you will nourish your mind. Don’t eat in front of the TV. Include lots of whole plant foods in your diet.
✅MEDITATE for 10 minutes a day. Watch your reactive personality be replaced with a calm one.
✅SURROUND yourself with the right people and situations. Look around and ask yourself if your current friend group is holding you back or pushing you forward.

The most common question I get from people: How do I get toned?
Let’s first define toned. Most people, when they say this word, are referring to a nice sculpted body. Muscles popping out at the right places and fat coming off of unwanted places to make their physique look more attractive.
What you are actually referring to here is muscle GAIN and fat LOSS. In order to gain muscle, you must strength train and eat more calories. In order to lose fat you must eat less calories.
Many people will tell you that you can not do both. In one scenario you need to eat more, another scenario you have to eat less. Now this is not completely true.
You can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, by eating at maintenance calories for your body. This means you do not lose OR gain any weight. You rather stay the same weight but change the composition of your body. This is called body recomp.
This takes much longer to do. But its how you can do both at the same time. I personally like this approach better, and find it healthier for my clients who have a fear of weight gain. Not everyone wants to bulk and put on 15lbs. Similarly, not everyone likes to recomp.
In addition, In order to see your muscles, you must be lean enough. The leaner you are, the more you can see. If you workout a ton and still have nothing to show for it, you are simply not lean enough. You must be in a caloric deficit while eating high protein to cut fat and retain muscle mass.
