It’s a lovely day at PHIIT.
Today I read a story about a brother and sister who were addicts for years. The sister got clean first and wanted her brother to get clean too, but he wasn’t ready. She realized she couldn’t make him want to get clean. One day she received a call from him, “I don’t want to do this anymore, I want to change.”
It made me think of people and their fitness journeys. People want to change; they want to get healthier and feel better, but when they start and it is hard, they go back to a sedentary life because it is comfortable - just like an addict turning back to drugs because it is easier. Nothing changes in your comfort zone. You could stay addicted, you could stay sedentary, or you could become someone stronger.
