Oh your is "all that and a bag of chips." Seriously though.....that run was off the chain! 12 intervals 🤯🤯 yet when the run was over I was like really already....lol! On top of that the music took me back to memory lane and I didn't even hear what I was supposed to do next on a few intervals ,🤦🤦🤣🤣❤️ loved every last minute!

At my base pace I jogged alone
Coached by voices in my phone. 🏃🏻‍♂️📲 .

We can either choose to vilify or embrace technology in fitness and in life.

When I use I purposely leave my volume at 3/4 because I know I’m going to need that last 1/4 for the LAST and BEST beat drop for the final sprint.

I can FEEL the music LITERALLY pushing me forward and causing me to work harder. That is what makes training with Nancy so special. It’s not just the coaching, just the music, or just the layout. It’s the COMBINATION that makes it electrifying.

Part of the challenge with is that we are selling a FEELING. It’s hard to explain but if you’ve listened to an episode - you know it! And more importantly you’ll never forget it. Because there is great joy in doing something fun that is also good for your body and soul.

Fasted cardio is all the rage- and with good reason. Research shows that training in a fasted state allows increases in glucose sensitive and enhancements in mitochondrial adaptations to using fatty acids and you’re going to use more fatty acids for energy bc your glucose is depleted. If you eat before training, then you lose some of those benefits.

Making the transition to fasted cardio can be very difficult for some. It can take about 3 weeks to shift for your body to adjust to fasted exercise and in that that time period I highly recommend using something like UCAN (this is not an ad) to help you make the jump. Use one scoop mixed with water as your “pre workout” and over the course of a few weeks, you can slowly begin taking it away. This will ease your transition and give you the insulin stability that you need (to avoid crashing) and the boost you need to maintain your performance in this adjustment period. You can find UCAN on amazon, sprouts, whole foods, pretty much anywhere. Cheers to fasted CHIIT 🥂
