It’s been a while.
A much longer while than I ever intended.
This past weekend, I ran Hood to Coast with my family. Being out there together — running, laughing, suffering a little, and enjoying the whole experience — reminded me how much I’ve missed this.
And how much I’ve missed all of you.
2026 started with an incredible Newport Resolution Run & Plunge, RUN LOVE RUN and Newport Shamrock Run. Then somewhere along the way, I went a little sideways — off the trail, so to speak.
With the help of some very good friends, we still managed to put on the Newport Celebration Run, but I also needed to step away from several events this year.
Sometimes you just need some time.
A lot of you noticed the silence. Some of you emailed about races. Some of you checked in simply to see how I was doing. That meant more than you probably realized.
I’m doing much better.
I’ve been running again, getting outside, spending time with family, and finding my footing. Hood to Coast this past weekend felt like another reminder that I’m ready to get moving again.
So… Ardor Adventures is back.
Here’s what’s ahead for the rest of 2026:
🌲 Twisted Pine Run — September 26
💀 Día de los Mu***os Endurance Run — October 23–25
Registration is NOW OPEN!
🦃 Newport Turkey Trot — later this fall
And for those wondering about the events we missed this year: the Lincoln City Half Marathon, Summer Solstice, Tufted Puffin Endurance Run and Newport Pride Run are planned to return in 2027.
I’m already working on the 2027 schedule and hope to share more soon.
I’ll also be following up personally with some of you in the coming days. I know there are emails, messages and conversations I haven’t responded to yet, and I appreciate your patience and understanding.
For now, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you to everyone who ran with us earlier this year. Thank you to the friends who helped when I needed it. Thank you to everyone who reached out during the quiet months. And thank you to everyone who continues to support these slightly crazy adventures we create together.
It feels really good to be back.
See you on the trails.
